Brooklyn Halloween Guide Packed With Family Fun

Brooklyn Halloween Fun Guide 2026

I’ve been looking into all the exciting Halloween events happening in Brooklyn for 2026, and it looks like there’s a fantastic variety of family-friendly activities planned. Everything from parades and costume contests to pumpkin decorating and spooky movie nights are on offer across the borough.

Early October Festivities Begin

The Halloween season kicks off early in September with the Ragamuffin Parade in Bay Ridge on Saturday, September 27. This community tradition has been marching along Third Avenue since 1966. For those looking to help others, St. Ann & the Holy Trinity in Brooklyn Heights is hosting a Halloween costume drive from September 29 to October 14, collecting new or gently used costumes for Safe Horizon to benefit children affected by domestic violence.

The first weekend of October brings more fun. On Saturday, October 4, the Annual PumpkinFest on Court Street in Carroll Gardens will feature pumpkin decorating, face painting, games, and live music. Also on October 4, The Campaign Against Hunger invites families to their Children’s Harvest Festival in Bed-Stuy for activities, treats, and arts & crafts. Later that evening, Williamsburg hosts a Spooky Sunset Movie: Ghostbusters at the Naval Cemetery Landscape. Remember to bring a blanket, as seating can be limited.

The following weekend, October 11, Atlantic Terminal Mall in Downtown Brooklyn will host a FREE family-friendly fall festival with an “urban pumpkin patch” offering 1,000 pumpkins to decorate, along with arts & crafts, games, and a costume dance party.
